Lisboa by bike.
Son Minne came to visit us for a few days in Lisbon.
We hired a bike and made a bicycle tour along the Tejo, visited MAAT, Belém, LX factory and had lunch at Cantina.
Minne had a few vintage football stadiums on his list. We cycled over 35 kilometers and discovered many new interesting places in Lisbon.
The cycle paths along the river are perfect and it's a great way to see a lot in one day.
We went Sunday, there is less traffic in the city (on the other hand more cyclists...)

So good to be back in Lisbon.
Back in our house in Baixa.
Three years in a row we have made a roadtrip in Portugal.
Every time we took a different route and discovered new places in Portugal.
Nature, beaches, cities, traditional towns, Portugal is so versatile.
When planning the route, we already knew beforehand, we wanted to end our journey in Lisbon.
Even though it is entirely against our nature, to visit one place three times in a row, we stayed 5 nights in our apartment in Baixa House.
This time we booked 'Gulbenkian' with a balcony on the 4th floor. (we could live here)
Life in Lisbon is wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, good food, beautiful architecture, sunset drinks at the river Tejo.
We try to avoid the tourist spots and go to the left where everyone goes to the right.

We stayed for 3 days at Casas da Lupa, rural turismo in the middle of nowhere...
We spend our days on different beaches in the Natural Parc of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina. The ocean is wild overhere and the coastline is rough.
Wonderful relaxing days before we went on to Lisbon.

Cabo de São Vicente
On our trip from Lagos to the Natural Parc of South West Alentejo, we visited Sagres, the most western beach of the Algarve and of course Cabo de São Vicente.
The Cape of Saint Vincent is Europe’s southwesternmost point.
This wind blasted and storm pounded headland is what you expect, for what was once considered, the end of the world.
The jagged cliffs rise sixty meters from the sea and high above one of Europe’s brightest lighthouses.
It's a spectacular spot! Unfortunately we could not stay for the sunset, because we had to drive to our next destination...
